Deputy Mitchell and Pie Corbett have been working on various projects together for over 15 years. In January 2022, Pie and David were asked to put together a series of INSET sessions for STAR Academies for 20+ schools with the aim of developing and improving the teaching of writing across the whole MAT, whilst at the same time developing subject leadership. As a result, Pie and David have developed these sessions and have written a series of 9 LIVE and interactive INSET sessions detailed below that will support your teachers to plan and deliver amazing writing lessons.
David and Pie are excited to now offer this project for Multi Academy Trusts, clusters or individual schools. David and Pie have also made some changes to the original training which was on offer. The training is now split into 6 x 75 minute staff training sessions which can be held during staff meeting times with 3 additional SLT sessions, 2 as catch up sessions after session 2 and session 5 and an evaluation session after session 8. These will be spaced out over 3 terms allowing for the ideas and knowledge from the training to be tried, monitored and discussed internally before the next session usually 5 weeks or so later.
